Regional Compute

Place applications on service providers in the region you need while still keeping them part of a service oriented cluster.

Placing applications closer to their end-users creates significant benefits in performance and scalability:

Speed up API performance   Latency can add up when multiple round trips are required to complete API requests. Locations in different continets are where trans-ocean connections are required can see even worse latency.
Go beyond caching   Caching can help speed up static content, but actual API termination in a region is required complete API requests faster. Izuma Edge running in a remote cloud instance connected to a central k8s cluster can accomplish this.
Meet compliance needs   Depending on your use case, some types of data may not be allowed to leave a region. Izuma Edge + Izuma Cloud can help you meet these types of regulatory issues without the pain of spinning up entire clusters in another region.
Improve scalaibility   The more work accomplished closer to an end-user, the less traffic and compute which may be needed in your central cluster or data center. Izuma Edge & Izuma Cloud help you move more compute to regional areas - improving this scalability.

Deploying Regional applications with Izuma Cloud & Izuma Edge

Serve applications to your remote locations using Izuma Cloud and Izuma Edge.

Each Izuma Cloud is deployed as a private instance of our services dedicated to your organization. By default Izuma Cloud will run on AWS, but we offer instances on Azure and other providers.

Izuma Edge will install on your remote servers. It can run on the remote server’s base OS, such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, or it can also run in a Linux VM.

All Izuma Edge machines will become Kubernetes nodes in your Izuma Cloud.

Contact us about your specific deployment needs.
